12/13/11 - Official Reset Time
The game will officially end alpha between 12:00-14:00 GMT. I'm doing some last tweaks and then we are going, I'll post a more lengthy message when we bring the game back online.

I am one of the creators and the owner of TruckingSim.com I will be the main person doing the code for the game, if you have any questions please message me. Thanks for all the support everyone has given so far Big Grin

So uh...does this mean the 24-48 hr period is then OVER, or beginning?

I know that for native speakers, I sometimes come across as rude, too direct, or pushy. This is not intended, but a consequence of different cultures (us Dutchies are known for being direct) and linguistic differences. When in doubt, remember, it always comes from a good intention.

Ditto!

Quick question: Can we get like a 30-60 minute notice before the game goes back up? That way we're not just sitting for a while before we realize the game is back up? Thanks again to everyone who's working so hard to make this game great!!! Big Grin

Newsflash! From our reporter in Haarlem, The Netherlands. A very large, state of the art, datacenter burned down to the ground this afternoon.
Persistent rumors state that a cluster of servers cought fire, after a large group of overactive virtual truck drivers franticly started driving their virtual trucks, after a compulsory two day leave. Sources claim an American game developer is to blame. Allegedly, a small Dutch IT consultancy firm owns the servers that caused the fire.
An official statement as to the cause of this incident has yet to be given.

Tongue Just Kidding. I think we'll be fine, but do count on the game being a little slower than usual when 4000 truckers buy a truck and start their route at the same time. Wink
