2/02/12 - API v2
Before I start, I am half asleep here so I'm sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes

This is for all you web developers out there

A few people have been waiting on this so I decided to get it finished

I've tried to make the documentation as easy as possible

The API is being released with PHP and JavaScript support. More languages will follow later on

I don't really need to explain much
Just make sure you post anything API related in the API section of our forum
This includes support when using it

Everything else can be found on our API which is listed below:

TruckingSim API v2

Might be bugs, if so use the bug report system in game

For an example of our API in use, visit Norman's website:
Truckers Inc - Terminals
The locations of the markers on the map are generated using our API
Along with the types of terminals in each city

Your actions get logged along with your key, this is why it's important that you DON'T share it with other users
If you get banned because you gave someone your key and they misused it, don't blame us

Have fun!

Always code as if the guy who ends up maintaining your code will be a violent psychopath who knows where you live.

RE: 2/02/12 - API v2
I want to say congrats to Conory on getting this finished its a lot of work and this has been his project. Secondly all thank you's, congrats, anything else should be pointed all towards Conory on this one! Hopefully you developers can build some useful tools for the game, that is what this is for.

I am one of the creators and the owner of TruckingSim.com I will be the main person doing the code for the game, if you have any questions please message me. Thanks for all the support everyone has given so far Big Grin

Install an Apache server, no need for hosting or a domain
I already told you this

RE: 2/02/12 - API v2
Anyone using the PHP version of our API will need to download the file again because I added routes

More information can be found on the documentation pages

RE: 2/02/12 - API v2
Again, people using the PHP include will need to redownload it

I have added SearchCompanyRoutes

It does the exact same as SearchRoutes but you search for companies instead of users

Enjoy

RE: 2/02/12 - API v2
Another update in the API (PHP only)

There is now an option to use cURL which dramatically decreases loading times

In order to use cURL, when calling our class, simply do:
PHP Code:
$TruckingSim = new TruckingSimAPI(true);

If you're using your computer to host a website, cURL may not be installed
To install it, make sure the proper extension is enabled in your php.ini
For better instructions, search the internet

This update is not required but is recommended, just redownload the include found on our API page

For anyone else using our API in other languages, this does not effect you, the API files themselves are not changed, just the PHP include
