They don't have to request because they were rated on a contract.

You have to name the contract so I don't have to waste time checking what they've run for you.

Norman maybe you should clarify your first post then. The way it reads now doesn't make it very clear in that you will "add" a sub-contractor to the list if a main contractor posts about that company completing or failing one of the sub-contracts they made.

Not sure how much this list will get used, but I pity you for having to keep track of it all. But your reply to Hammer about wasting your time checking that they've run a contract has me a little concerned. If you don't verify that each sub-contract that is posted about here on this thread was completed or failed by the sub-contractor and that the main company specifying who ran the sub-contract is actually the company that held the main contract, what's going to happen to someone who falsely posts information here to increase or decrease a certain companies rating? Just like Hammer tried doing.

If Hammer would have posted some made up contract info in his last post which stated that Sub Contract Carriers 2 had failed the contract, I think judging from your reply to him that you're not wasting your time checking to see if they ran the contract for him, you would have just given us a negative score.

Maybe you should spell out the consequences of posting false info so everyone is on the same page when someone gets caught, if you don't intend to check on each and every contracts that is posted here.

RE: Subcontractors List
No, they have to post the contract so I can find it quickly, and not waste time cross-checking all the contracts to find what (if anything) matches.

RE: Subcontractors List
As long as you're going to check each one I guess that will keep it legit.

Any comment on sub-contractors being able to see who created the sub-contract they're running to maybe ask for a little praise?

RE: Subcontractors List
Bib, I will do all the work for you to find out who and then tell you who you are running sub-contracts for. All for the low price of $2.99 per sub-contract. If you are interested, let me know.

TBH I don't know why it isn't there. I can't remember if we had a reason for it or if it just got forgotten in the page design phase. It's probably better to discuss it in a suggestion thread (if one doesn't exist) and see if people can come up with reasons for and against the subcontractor knowing who made the contract.

If you are a subcontractor you may request to have your company added to the list so that main contractors can find you.
If you are a main contractor you may rate a company each time they fail or finish one of your contracts. You must state:
  1. The name of the subcontractor
  2. The contract they took (e.g. Chemicals to Dallas)
  3. If you rate their performance as positive or negative

Any company manager may submit a rating but only one rating will allowed per contract.

CompanyRating
British Leyland Lorry Company0
(RBT) RowDy Boyz Transport 1
Sub-Contract Carriers 2 0
Why are we rated Zero?HuhHuh

There should also be a list of the worst sub-contractors, who just pick and always fail. All companies picking up subs with a success rate of say less than 50% should be posted here. Contractors will be wary of such cos.

The contractor should be allowed to choose the sub-contractor.
