Contact bidding

RE: Contact bidding
They have two active contracts now and are bidding on 5 more.

" This was posted by Norman "

Eligibility for bidding

Company rating is not applied to subsidiary contracts. Any company with 5 or more active drivers may bid on any subsidiary contract.

Each company is rated based on the number of active drivers it has. A company may bid on any contract which has a rating less than 4 times the company rating.

A company cannot bid if winning the contract will take the number of active contracts above 6.

A company cannot bid if winning the contract will result in total potential contract penalties greater than the company's assets.

RE: Contact bidding
Sad that they are STUCK with 126 LOADS at $0.99 and $0.90 / mile just because someone SCREWED them over ( Bid LOW on every contract out for bid at the time ) before leaving and starting his own company.

Have to be a pretty ROTTEN person to pull a stunt like that.

RE: Contact bidding
I disagree with thoughts like "Be very careful who you give the keys to the castle." or "Its kinda part of the game and always has been." and others like that in this thread... in an online game it is very easy to build up someones trust and there are no consequences when you show your true colors and sabotage a company. It's as simple as starting a new driver and therefore a clean slate. If a company is too cautious and does not allow newer drivers to have a more active role in the company, besides just driving (that is if they want to do more than that), then it might drive these newer players away from the game. I know that I, as a player, definitely need to do more in this game than just click the "Drive" button.

I don't have an solution to this problem, but in extreme cases like having someone bid low amounts on a lot of contracts or buying a bunch of terminals the company didn't want or firing all company drivers or... whatever other bad things someone can do that is blatantly malicious... it seems like there should be a way for the administrators of the game to step in and right a wrong.

I'm not expecting it though, as there would have to be decisions made on what is malicious, was a company extremely negligent in giving someone power, etc, but safeguards that are said to be in the game should really work (no more than x active contracts for a company), better tracking should be added in the game so a company knows who did what (I do not believe there is any way to know who bid on a contract if more than one person has that power in a company) and maybe some kind of more permanent actions against people who are found to do malicious actions (banning the IP address... just like what is supposed to be happening if more than 4 drivers play from 1 IP... but again not a great solution as they can just log in from a different IP)

Sorry, this turned into a rant on the players who take the fun out of the game by being cowards and hiding behind their online identity.
