RE: Worthless Stocks
I sent the following to weykool with concern about the stock price dropping:
Quote:Good evening,

I'm one of your shareholders and would like to request that you increase the collections for the company as the current rate is causing the company to spend more than it's taking in thus losing the company money and devaluing the stock. If the stock were to return to being worth over $1.75/share (i.e. company cash assets > $17,500) I would be willing to purchase more stock to help fund the company, but only if the intent is to continue to grow cash assets. I appreciate a response to this request at your earliest convenience.

Best regards,
DF

This was the his response:
Quote:Sell your stock.
My drivers sacrificed with 50% collection and 1% assistance to get the company off the ground.
Now they are being rewarded for their sacrifice.

Then I followed up with this:
Quote:That's a pretty poor attitude to have. Your decisions have already cost me over $0.20 a share and with over 1000 shares that adds up. You might want to think about a balanced approach instead of the extremes that seem to be occurring else the company will inevitably fail. I've had to rescue a company that was underwater once. You find the right balance of collections and incentives where the company still makes money, but so do the drivers. A 25% collection with say 60% fuel and repair assistance (just giving examples) might be that balance where everyone wins. If you want people to buy stock to infuse money into the company you need to recognize that the shareholders are just as important as the drivers. They are both sources of revenue just like in real life.

Shareholders do not buy stock to lose money. They buy it to make money. Can we get some team spirit and some consideration of those who are investing money in your company?

Thanks,
DF

To which his response was (including the super large "SELL YOUR STOCK":
Quote:I know what I am doing, so I dont need a lecture.
My answer stands.

SELL YOUR STOCK

Once the company sells the stock to the back it gets nothing more when players buy it or sell it.

Boy I wish I could do a shareholder vote and remove him from office like would happen in real life if a CEO conducted himself that way to shareholders.

If anyone feels that my feedback/request/response was in any way out of line, please feel free to PM me with constructive feedback. I thought I'd share the exchange with weykool in case anyone else was having the same kind of experience.

I'm just a concerned shareholder...

I like that idea. Can that be added to the list of suggestions if it's not already there? Good thinking!

RE: Worthless Stocks
Deisel,
How arrogant can you get??????
Telling everyone to play the game exactly as YOU play the game.???
Who goes around telling other campany owners what rate they should set the collection/assistance rates????
Make you a deal...You run your company like you want to and I will run mine like I want to.

Also posting private messages in a public forum like you did is very SCUMMY if you ask me.
Its not that I care as Ive already stated here the company short term goals.
Short term pain for long term gains.

From post #8:
Right now it might not be worth buying as the price isnt increasing.
I would not buy it right now as well.

The plan is to buy a few more terminals so the price might drop further.

RE: Worthless Stocks
Wykool - I think you need to relax and chill out. This thread has a heavy discussion about the company stock and our discussion was about exactly that. I'm sorry that you seem to have taken offense to the sharing of a conversation where you do not appear to be respectful of shareholders' interests. I'm not telling you how to run the company. I'm making suggestions as a concerned shareholder. No need for name calling and tantrums.

To share like everyone else:

Express Trucking 492

Total Shares: 992
Total Cost: $1,721
Total Value: $1,378.88
Net Profit/Loss: $-342.12

Diesel:
You are making my point.
You have 55K in cash and 52K in the bank and you are crying about a measley $342.12????
Really??

If you are doing a contract route that pays $2.35 per mile it would take you 145 miles to make up for your precious losses.
Thats TWO friigin clicks.
Why dont you just sell the stock and then you have nothing to worry about?
You owning the stock adds NOTHING to my company.
You didnt even buy it from me....you bought it from the stock bank.
Now if you want to drive a few loads for my company then maybe we can talk about collection rates.

Im also a bit curious.
The company you are with boasts:
1st COMPANY TO OWN ALL TERMINALS -- ALL 58 TERMINALS ARE DEPOTS OR REGIONAL HUBS

How many of your investors got screwed over while your company was buying up terminals?

NONE!

Our Company still owns 99,978 out of 100,000 stocks.
22 stocks have been sold to our own drivers through our reward program.

Next time better check your facts before accusing us of screwing over our investors.

Going to be fun to see you eat those words.
Stock price as of today $1.64.
I will check back with you in 30 days.

Can't wait for it!

RE: Worthless Stocks
Perhaps you could give some to Diesel?
He seems to be worried about losing a precious few $100.
Also your collection rate is too high...I demand you lower it now or else.
