Truck depreciation question
I had my truck 5 ish days and it lost $4000.00 in value. Just curious if I'm not doing something right as it's about as much as I made. It would be nice to sell it but if it losses more than I make or close to what I make, I guess I don't have the game figured out.

do I sell it repaired and full of fuel?

RE: Truck depreciation question
Fuel doesn't help but condition does. Repairs often show a return before selling as do add on items.

RE: Truck depreciation question
If your selling the truck you get more $ if its fully repaired and new tires , you get the $ you spend fixing it up back

RE: Truck depreciation question
thank you guys. yes, the problem was i just needed to repair and replace the tires. I did that and now i'm back on track. ( with the same truck)

i didn't understand the depreciation and thought i'd never be able to sell it. Maintenance was all i needed.

RE: Truck depreciation question
When I go to sell a truck I try and run it almost out of fuel, sell the add-ons seperateley, and make sure it's repaired. No sense in selling with a full tank as you don't get any more money for it.

RE: Truck depreciation question
Have you done the math selling add on items first vs leaving them on?

RE: Truck depreciation question
It shouldn't make much of a difference, if any. When jeff was building the game we talked about it and He designed it so that leaving items on added value to the truck. Just saves needing to sell stuff before selling off a truck.

Thanks for the info, I guess I won't bother with it next time.

RE: Truck depreciation question
Price is based on speed, fuel efficiency, fuel tank size and load limits so if an item increases one of those it will increase the price and if it decreases one it will decrease the price. Increasing condition also increases those stats so condition items increase price too.
