Disolving a Company

RE: Disolving a Company
Way to dig up an old post Tongue

I agree about the stocks, and they should be removed if the company drivers are inactive for a period of say 30 days. But being able to jump in and dissolving the company this way? Not convinced..

RE: Disolving a Company
I would have liked to have seen an activity modifier added to the stock price equation. Basically something like:

StockPrice = (Activity/100) * CurrentStockEquation

Where activity is a number between 0 and 100.

Each new company starts at 100 and then at each 8 hour contract end point where we are checking for the number of active drivers anyway we either +1 to any company with active drivers or -1 to any company with no active drivers. That way in about a month any company that goes inactive has its stock price drop to zero and anyone paying attention has a fair chance to sell any stocks they own.

We could then make it a rule that any company where the stock price hits zero (by inactivity or poor management) gets automatically dissolved.

Of course that requires game updates and we are a bit short of those to say the least. If there was a good consensus from the community about removing these inactive companies then I do have a delete company button so it would be possible (although tedious) for me to go through and manually remove any company that had been inactive for a time period we feel is reasonable.

RE: Disolving a Company
Is it also possible for yourself to remove dud ads?

I agree to your idea of disolving companies that have been inactive for a set period. For me, I would say a month. It's enough time to reasonably expect someone back to run routes.

The real gem would be if you could delete some drivers Big Grin But that's asking a bit too much.

We can hope the updates might happen next year.

RE: Disolving a Company
That would be great! Even if you just deleted one or two of the inactive ones every day that have been inactive for several months. I think 90 days of inactivity would be more than a reasonable amount of time. It would be nice to see some of those companies gone. I also like the idea of having the company automatically get booted if their stock price hits 0.

RE: Disolving a Company
any new updates on clearing out companies? i've been tempted to step down as CEO and move to dead companies and assume CEO and dissolve them ... if that is possible? but it would help, first i'd kick drivers out and then sell, then bankrupt/dissolve... but is it poss to take over CEO of a dead company?

RE: Disolving a Company
The only way you could do it would be to join and then have the current CEO name you VP and then he steps down. But if the whole company is inactive there's no way to do it. Maybe if jeff or bjornski decides to log in they can add a couple more game moderators and give them the powers to delete inactive companies.
